Tighten, Lighten, and Brighten Your Eyes, Remove Bags and Smooth Out Skin with Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

Is Eyelid Surgery right for me?

Precision Surgery to Rejuvenate the Appearance of Your Eyes

Blepharoplasty precisely targets and removes the droopy, excessive skin from the the eyelid (Upper Blepharoplasty) and the fatty protrusions around the lower lid (Lower Blepharoplasty).  It rejuvenates the contour, smooths the skin, and brigthens the appearance of the eye.

Upper blepharoplasty corrects:

  • Droopy excessive skin
  • Aging contour of the  eyes
  • Sagging or “heavy” eyelids

Lower blepharoplasty corrects

  • Herniated orbital fat (bags under the eye).
  • Rough skin under the eye

Precision day surgery, under local anesthesia and sedation, with minimal downtime and well concealed incisions – Full recovery in two weeks

Upper Blepharoplasty:

  • Consultation with doctor to qualify for surgery
  • Detailed pre-operative appointment with Registered Nurse
  • Surgery done with local anesthesia and using light intravenous sedation
  • Performed as a day surgery in our surgicentre operating room
  • Your surgeon will make precise markings to designate where excess skin needs to be removed
  • Excess skin is removed with surgical instruments such as scalpels, surgical scissors, radio-frequency cutting devices
  • Once excess skin removed, upper eyelids incisions are closed and sutured in the crease of the eyelids
  • Sutures removed 7-10 days post-surgery
  • Eyelid incisions are small and very well concealed in the crease of the eyes
  • Makeup may be applied 3 days after sutures are removed

Lower Blepharoplasty:

  • Consultation with doctor to qualify for surgery.
  • Detailed pre-operative appointment with Registered Nurse
  • Surgery done with local anesthesia and using light intravenous sedation.
  • Performed as a day surgery in our surgicentre operating room.
  • Incisions are made along the lower lash line making them barely noticeable once healed.
  • Lower eyelid tissue is lifted and excess fat is removed with specialized surgical equipment such as scalpels, surgical scissors, radio-frequency cutting devices etc.
  • Incisions are closed with sutures and sometimes tissue glue and steristrips (small adhesive dressing)
  • Sutures are removed 7-10 days post-surgery
